Let’s practise! Once you know all the comparative structures it is easy to compare things in French, as they don’t differentiate between short and long adjectives when they compare.
You simply need to use your adjective with the comparative structure of your choice once you make sure that you have agreed your adjective properly with the noun it describes.
1) Put the words in the correct order!
a) toi. / Elle / pressée / que / est / plus
Elle est plus pressée que toi.
2) Translate to English!
a) Marie est aussi grande que Paul.
Marie is as tall as Paul.
3) Translate to French!
a) She will be as tall as you.
Elle sera aussi grande que toi.
4) Add the correct comparative structure in French!
a) Ton pull est …………… grand …………… le mien. (more than)
Ton pull est plus grand que le mien.
